Our Training

Quest Recovery Services Limited offer a wide range of courses both accredited and non- accredited short courses. The (RQF) courses are mainly aimed at employees working in the care settings and hence the short courses will develop your staff knowledge, skills and competence, as result will improve their practice.

We come to you, wherever you are in the UK, and deliver the training at your venue. We believe in quality training, shaping minds to a true understanding of their role within your organisation, but also a wider knowledge of daily proceedings and the importance of the correlation of these functions to have a quality service. Our dedicated team and experts will deliver the following courses that are mainly funded by skills for care Workforce Development Fund; These includes:

  • Level 2 &3 (RQF) Certificate in understanding the Safe Handling of Medicines.
  • Level 3 (RQF) Award in Awareness of the Mental Capacity Act (2005)
  • Level 2 & 3 Award in Dementia Awareness. This qualification will develop learner’s knowledge competence and skills to work confidently with client group who have dementia.

Also, we run the following (RQF) Diploma courses in Level 2,3, 4 and 5 for all adult social care staff and we work very closely with employers to develop their workforce.

  • Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (Adults) (RQF)– This qualification will develop the knowledge, skills and competence of those working in a care role. The qualification is assessed through completion of a portfolio of evidence which will be assessed and internally moderated by our experience Internally Quality Assurance team.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (Adults) (RQF); This course is mainly ideal for employees working in a senior role such as; field supervisors. In fact, learners are able to choose the three pathways after successfully completing the mandatory units (Mental Health, Dementia and Learning Disability). The qualification is assessed through completion of a portfolio of evidence which will be assessed and internally moderated by our experience Internally Quality Assurance team.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care (England) (RQF): This qualification is mainly ideal for employees working in a more senior roles, such as Deputy Managers and Care Co- coordinators within social care settings. Learners gaining this qualification will be able to understand and demonstrate knowledge and skills. Individuals achieving this qualification can choose to progress onto further to study Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care and Children and Young People service (England) (RQF), which consist of (90 credits). The qualification is assessed through completion of a portfolio of evidence which will be assessed and internally Quality Assured by the Centre.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England) (RQF): This qualification is designed for those learners working in a care managers role or advanced practitioners within the adult social care and /or children and young people’s sectors. Skills for care recommend that this qualification is the current, relevant qualification to be taken by individuals working as a care manager within the adult care sector in England. Learners will also develop their knowledge and skills in a variety of other areas by selecting optional units that are suitable for their job role and specialism. Individuals achieving this qualification can choose to progress onto Further or higher education to study towards a diploma or degree in their chosen subject or specialism.

The Care Certificate: For all New Staff; The Care Certificates consist of 15 standards and for each of the standards there are elements the learner needs to know (knowledge) and elements they are expected to demonstrate practice in the work settings (competence), which is met and assessed through observation. Once the learner achieved both the knowledge and all the practical learning outcomes are competently assessed then, the Manager can sign the staff member off as competent to work unsupervised. At Quest Recovery Services Limited, we deliver a robust quality training over a period of 4 days for all new staff to cover both the Care Certificate (Knowledge) in accordance with the guidance and standards issued by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health. Employers can do this, however they wish within the Guidance issued by Skills for Care. To help we have developed a proforma for a holistic assessment as we also share with our learners to make this as straightforward as possible for them. Finally, Management and Deputies: It is important to invest in your existing Senior Managers, Deputy managers, Care coordinators and field supervisors to develop to the highest professional standards. All these courses undermentioned are fully funded by through skills for care’s council Workforce Development Fund.

Courses:
  • Lead to succeed: Usually is (5 days trainings, and is spread over a few weeks). Lead to succeed is at the forefront of the more formal development of aspiring new managers and deputies. This learning programme will help individuals to develop their leadership and management potential, gain knowledge and be supported and challenged to put this into practice. We’ve received overwhelming feedback about the difference it can make. Unlike undertaking formal qualifications, which can often feel like a solitary process, Lead to succeed connects aspiring managers with their peers. Learners completing Lead to succeed will understand how successful behaviours and practical strategies can support them in their day-to-day work. They will be challenged to put these into practice, boosting their capacity to lead and manage effectively. The programme includes an emphasis on reflection, helping individuals to learn from their day-to-day experiences and think about how they can do things differently or get better at recognising what they do well.
  • Well-led: Usually is (4 days trainings and is spread over a few weeks). Well-led is a national development programme for both new and experienced managers of adult social care services. This learning programme is grounded in the reality of social care delivery and was developed in partnership with managers familiar with the day-to-day challenges of leading a care team. The programme is underpinned by models of leadership that can be practically applied to deliver change and promote best practice. It was designed to enable leaders to deliver care in line with the expectations of a well-led service. Well-led will help individuals to develop their leadership and management potential, gain knowledge and be supported and challenged to put this into practice. It includes an emphasis on reflection, helping individuals to learn from their day-to-day experiences and think about how they can do things differently or get better at recognising what they do well. Unlike undertaking formal qualifications, which can often feel like a solitary process, Well-led connects managers with their peers.
  • Understanding Performance Management (1 day). This CPD module will help managers to explore the performance management cycle, recognise that people perform differently and utilise tools and techniques available. Unlike undertaking formal qualifications, which can often feel like a solitary process, this CPD module connects managers with their peers. Managers will understand how successful behaviours and practical strategies can support them in their day-to-day work. They’ll be challenged to put these into practice, boosting their capacity to lead and manage effectively. The module includes an emphasis on reflection, helping managers to learn from their day- today experiences and think about how they can do things differently or get better at recognising what they do well.
  • Understanding Self-management Skills (1 day). This CPD module will help managers to tackle isolation, manage time, build resilience and ensure wellbeing. It will look at techniques and tools which can support managers to self- manage and understand when and how behaviours can influence and impact on others. Unlike undertaking formal qualifications, which can often feel like a solitary process, this CPD module connects managers with their peers. Managers will understand how successful behaviours and practical strategies can support them in their day-to-day work. They’ll be challenged to put these into practice, boosting their capacity to lead and manage effectively. The module includes an emphasis on reflection, helping managers to learn from their day- today experiences and think about how they can do things differently or get better at recognising what they do well.
  • Understanding Workplace Culture (1 day). This CPD module will help managers to explore the critical links between vision, values and culture, providing practical support to influence change and develop the culture of their service. Unlike undertaking formal qualifications, which can often feel like a solitary process, this CPD module connects managers with their peers. Managers will understand how successful behaviours and practical strategies can support them in their day-to-day work. They’ll be challenged to put these into practice, boosting their capacity to lead and manage effectively. The module includes an emphasis on reflection, helping managers to learn from their day-today experiences and think about how they can do things differently or get better at recognising what they do well.
